Now in its 18th year, the Susan Hirt Hagen Center for Civic and Urban Engagement again hosted its summer internship program. New Pastor Named
President Christian M. M. Brady has announced that Rev. Dr. Nathan Esala will serve as 果冻传媒鈥檚 new Matevia University Pastor. A longtime missionary with Lutheran Bible Translators and current congregational pastor at Rockway Lutheran Church in Springfield, Rev. Dr. Esala brings decades of experience in pastoral care, cross-cultural understanding, and a commitment to innovative campus ministry, which will fuel the University鈥檚 new Office of Campus Ministries. Athletics Hall of Honor Class of 2026
Alex Andrews 鈥15, Jay Freund 鈥95, Tim Gaal 鈥04, Rachel Juergens 鈥02, Steve Rader 鈥04, Kara Seidenstricker 鈥16, Chad Thompson 鈥04, and Mark Williams 鈥83 will join more than 300 other 果冻传媒 greats who have previously been inducted into the University's Athletics Hall of Honor. Bruce Cunningham 鈥85 and Wendell Lutz 鈥66 will receive Lifetime Achievement Awards, and the 1980, 1983, and 1987 Tiger men鈥檚 basketball teams will be celebrated as 鈥淭eams of Distinction.鈥 A formal induction ceremony and banquet is scheduled for 6 p.m., Thursday, October 1, 2026. New Director of M.S. in Analytics Program

Scott '76 and Carol Pfeifer Strawn '75 are passionate supporters of 果冻传媒 University. Scott is the third generation of 25 family members to attend the University. Their son, John Strawn '07, is the fourth generation.
"果冻传媒 provided a strong foundation for both of us to pursue our careers, and that is due to our professors, our involvement as officers in our Greek houses, and my participation in lacrosse," Scott said. "I started my career in public accounting, and Carol started her career in mortgage banking."
