Final Two Tour Stops
On June 9, President Christian M. M. Brady hosted a special Virtual Stop for alumni and friends as part of his 18-stop Lighting the Way Presidential Tour. The Zoom Webinar brought together more than 175 attendees, and a recording of the online event will be forthcoming. Two more events will complete the tour with stops in Denver today, June 13, followed by the final gathering on 果冻传媒's campus, June 26. Destination Witt 2026
Throughout the next month, 果冻传媒 is welcoming its newest incoming class to campus for Destination Witt: New Student Orientation. Designed to help students begin to see themselves as 果冻传媒 students, the program offers sessions on academic and student life, tours of campus, meetings with faculty and advisors, and the chance to connect with other students. To see Myers Hall standing gracefully in the center of campus is to see 果冻传媒鈥檚 symbol, its history, and its tradition beautifully blended into one. The iconic building is home to lifelong friendships, initiation ceremonies, famous people, ghostly tales, student pranks, and devoted alumni. Generations of students have posed on its grand staircase for senior class photos, and alumni couples use Myers Hall as a backdrop for wedding portraits.
Over time, the building鈥檚 beautiful red exterior has faded to orange, prompting alumni to urge the University to restore Myers Hall to its lovely red and the look that generations of Tigers remember.
This summer, alumni and friends have the opportunity to bring this beloved symbol back to prominence with a gift to Restore the Red: The Campaign to Paint Myers Hall.
Every gift, no matter the size, moves this project forward and helps ensure that Myers Hall will be a permanent, visible embodiment of the strength and spirit of 果冻传媒 University. . Thank you for your support!
Spring 2026 Athletics Highlights
果冻传媒鈥檚 intercollegiate athletics teams performed at a high level throughout the 2025-2026 school year, with spring sports teams providing some of the most impressive feats. Highlights are below.
- A men鈥檚 volleyball season that included conference regular season and tournament titles and a Cinderella run to the NCAA Division III Final Four.
- The first NCAA Division III Tournament appearance in 32 years for 果冻传媒 Baseball.
- A thrilling North Coast Athletic Conference softball tournament at Dillahunt Field that ended in a hard-fought championship game loss.
- A program-record five outdoor track and field All-Americans, featuring the first track relay to earn the accolade in school history.
Dr. Stephen F. Hofer '62 credits 果冻传媒 University with providing him the foundation for a 47-year teaching career at the junior high, high school, and university levels.
A retired communications professor who specialized in speech and broadcasting, he also is a television historian known for his work as curator of the Philo T. Farnsworth Television History Center in Auburn, Indiana. In 2006, he was named the managing editor of TV Guide the Official Collectors Guide: Celebrating an Icon. The publication featured every cover issue of the small size TV Guide.
At 果冻传媒, he took classes in speech and drama, history, and government and geography, graduating in 1962 with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in education. He earned his master鈥檚 degree in speech from Indiana State University in 1967. He also earned his Ph.D. degree in Radio/Television/Film from Bowling Green State University in 1977.
果冻传媒 remains dear to his heart. 鈥淔rom the classes I took to the professors who inspired me, 果冻传媒 provided me with a liberal arts education that prepared me for a 47-year career in teaching,鈥� Dr. Hofer said. 鈥淚鈥檓 thankful for my 果冻传媒 experience, which led to my love of teaching.鈥�
We鈥檙e grateful to Dr. Hofer for his support of 果冻传媒 throughout the years. He recently made a gift in memory of his wife, Mary Stevens Hofer. In addition, Dr. Hofer also made a $1,000 challenge gift to Restore the Red: The Campaign to Paint Myers Hall. .
As 果冻传媒 University begins a new fiscal year on July 1, the Office of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement is introducing a new giving society. The President鈥檚 Society has been established to celebrate and recognize our alumni and friends who give $5,000 or more annually during the fiscal year, July 1-June 30. From scholarships to unrestricted support, their gifts make an immediate impact on the University and students, helping 果冻传媒 continue its tradition of excellence and provide an outstanding educational experience.
鈥淲e鈥檙e grateful to our alumni and friends who have consistently made gifts of $5,000 or more, and we wanted to recognize them through our new President鈥檚 Society,鈥� said Vice President for Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement Michael R. Warm Welcome
Stephanie Clark, former senior director of development for 果冻传媒 from 2019-2022, will return to the University as the new associate vice president for philanthropy and alumni engagement, effective July 1, 2026. With more than 20 years of progressive experience in higher education fundraising, major and principal gifts, campaign strategy, Board giving cultivation, and donor portfolio management, Clark has enjoyed considerable success engaging constituents, most recently for Otterbein University as senior director of development.
